To make sure your device is on the most recent software, an update may improve your streaming experience.
In order to update the software, you will need to first factory reset your device, and then go back into settings to run the software update.
Please follow these steps below to perform a Software Update for your Apple device:
First, Factory Reset the device to allow a software update:
- Go to the Atmosphere Main menu by hitting the back arrow button (or the "menu" button) a few times.
- At the top you will see: Home, Custom Playlist, Settings and Search.
- Click "Settings"
- On the left you will see & click "Network"
- On the list on the right you will see & click "OPEN APPLE TV SETTINGS" at the bottom
- A different page will pop up, select "Open"
- You will now be in the device "Settings"
- Toward the bottom of this list, you will see "SYSTEM." Select this and then select "Reset."
- Confirm 'Reset' (not reset and update)
- Your device will reboot.
After reset, then you should be able to run a software update:
- Go to the Atmosphere Main menu by hitting the back arrow button (or the "menu" button) a few times.
- At the top, you will see: Home, Custom Playlist, Settings, and Search. Click "Settings."
- On the left, you will see & click "Network."
- On the list on the right, you will see & click "OPEN APPLE TV SETTINGS" at the bottom.
- A different page will pop up, select "Open."
- You will now be in the device "Settings."
- On this list, towards the bottom, you will see & click "System."
- Click "Software Updates."
- Click "Update Software."
- A message appears, select "Download and Install." Let it run the update. There will be several steps, and this may take some time.
Just to note, this process can take up to an hour. (If you see a screensaver, your device is still in the process of updating). It will reboot when the update is complete. Once complete, select your channel and resume streaming.
