We know -- the lack of buttons makes this remote a bit confusing when you try using it for the first time. We've been there, too. But we promise it's easy. Get a little tutorial for the Apple TV Gen 4 remote here.
Also, your remote does not have removable batteries. You can recharge it using the lightning cable we provided with your shipment (or any current iPhone lighting cable will work). Plug the cable into the port on the bottom of the remote and let it do it's thing (30 minutes should bring it to a full charge for about seven days).
Atmosphere is programmed to be plugged in and left to play. Once you select a channel, you should be able to place the remote somewhere safe and enjoy everything that is Atmosphere.
Of course, if you ever want to explore different channels (we regularly add new ones!), you'll need your remote for that. The 'Menu' button will take you back to your channel options.
Also, it's good to know the device will automatically power off when your TV is turned off, so it is not necessary to power off your device with the Apple TV Remote.
***Note: Not all functions may work like the article states due to the mode in which our streaming devices are delivered to you.
